Joga is a mobile app for finding and joining pickup soccer. A live map shows which fields have players checked in right now, and you can set up organized matches with a time, a player count, and a skill level.

Joga launches first in Tempe, Arizona, including the fields at ASU's Sun Devil Fitness Complex. There's no release date yet. Follow @joganetwork on Instagram to hear the moment it's out.

Joga needs location access while you use it, so the map can show the fields near you. Background location is optional. It lets Joga check you out automatically when you leave a park, and if you skip it, everything else still works.

When you're at a field, tap I'm Playing. Your check-in shows on the map for two hours, and Joga asks whether you're still playing before it runs out. If you allow background location, Joga checks you out automatically when you leave the park.

Yes. Set your visibility to hidden and your name and photo won't appear in the avatars on a field. You still count toward the number of players there, so the map stays accurate for everyone.

Scheduled games with a date, start time, player limit, and skill level. RSVP in one tap, add the match to your calendar, or share it with the group chat.

Join the waitlist. If a player drops out, the first person in line is moved onto the roster automatically and gets an alert that they're in.

Anyone viewing the match can read its conversation. Messages show the sender's real name and photo, and the whole conversation is deleted 24 hours after the match ends.

Open the menu on their message in a match conversation and choose Report. You can add a reason if you want. Reports go to Joga's team for review.
